Succulents
Succulents are a diverse group of plants with over 5000 known species distributed across 60+ genera. These plants are primarily found in arid regions across Africa (±60%), the Americas (±30%), and Australia (±10%). In South Africa alone, around 20% of the world’s succulent species can be found. Popular genera that can be found in the succulent family include Aloe, Crassula, Euphorbia, Haworthia and Stapeliad.
