Euphorbia

Euphorbia is a diverse genus of plants in the Euphorbiaceae family, with over 2,000 species, known from the Americas, Asia and, with a greater concentration, Africa and Madagascar. Known for their unique flower structures (cyathium), many have spines and produce a milky, often toxic latex sap. They are sometimes used as ornamentals in landscaping, because of their beautiful or striking overall forms, and drought and heat tolerance.
