Stapeliads

Stapeliad is a genus of succulent plants with over 100 species. These plants are known for their fleshy, often star-shaped or tuberous stems and distinctive, unique flowers that can be large, vividly patterned and sometimes have strong odors. Stapeliads are primarily found in Africa, particularly in arid regions of South Africa (±50 species) and Namibia. Popular genera within the Stapeliad family include Stapelia, Huernia, Orbea and Piaranthus.
