Orbea paradoxa is a rhizomatous, leafless dwarf perennial succulent species, forming small clumps of erect stems above ground that spreads by horizontal underground rhizomes. The flowers have a dark red annulus at the mouth of the tube (about 6.5mm deep) and the interior of the corolla is greenish-white to yellowish with reddish purple markings, with fine papillae near the tips of the lobes.
Origin: Mostly on coastal plains in southern Mozambique and around Pongola in the south-eastern Transvaal. It extends further into northern KwaZulu-Natal, in eastern Swaziland and near Komatipoort in Mpumalanga.
Plants on offer: 1-3 stems 3-5cm rooted. Shipped without pot or soil.
May or may not currently have flowers/buds.
