Neoregelia ‘Groucho’
R120,00
Neoregelia ‘Groucho’ is a striking bromeliad admired for its bold colouring and broad rosette form. The plant forms a wide, symmetrical rosette of arching leaves that are primarily green with crisp white margins. In addition, strong light encourages vivid pink to red cross-banding across the foliage, creating a dramatic layered effect. As a result, the plant develops exceptional colour contrast even when not in flower.
It is a cultivated Neoregelia hybrid bred for ornamental foliage and strong light-responsive colouring. In addition, it thrives in warm, humid conditions with bright filtered light and good airflow.
The central rosette intensifies in colour as the plant matures. Under stronger light conditions, the pink and red banding becomes more pronounced across the leaves. Consequently, the foliage becomes the main ornamental feature, while the small flowers remain tucked inside the centre cup.

Growing Notes
Neoregelia ‘Groucho’ thrives in warm, humid conditions with good airflow. Additionally, brighter filtered light encourages stronger pink and red banding across the leaves. The central cup should be refreshed regularly with clean water to prevent stagnation.
Protect from harsh midday sun
Although it tolerates bright conditions well, harsh midday sun can scorch the foliage. Therefore, filtered light or gentle morning sun is ideal for maintaining healthy colour and leaf quality.
Boho Blooms – Interesting Facts & Tips
• Light-reactive foliage: Stronger light produces richer pink and red banding
• Water-holding rosette: The centre cup naturally stores water for the plant
• Offset production: Mature plants form pups after flowering
