Cryptanthus ‘Racinae’
R95,00
Cryptanthus ‘Racinae’ is a beautiful terrestrial bromeliad admired for its compact rosette form and richly patterned foliage. The plant forms a low-growing, star-shaped rosette of arching leaves that spreads close to the soil surface. In addition, the leaves feature finely serrated margins, adding texture and structure to the plant’s elegant shape.
The foliage is the main attraction. Leaves are typically flushed in shades of bronze, reddish-brown, burgundy, or deep pink, often layered with darker transverse banding or mottled markings. Under brighter light, the colours intensify further. Consequently, the plant develops a dramatic, high-contrast appearance that stands out beautifully in terrariums and indoor displays. The foliage also has a lightly textured, matte finish that enhances its ornamental appeal.
Like other Cryptanthus species, ‘Racinae’ produces small white to pale lilac flowers tucked within the centre of the rosette. However, the blooms are subtle and secondary to the colourful foliage.
