Orchids

Orchids are a diverse and fascinating group of flowering plants that belong to the family Orchidaceae with over 28,000 recognised species (of which 470 are indigenous to South Africa) distributed across 763 genera. They are known for their exquisite beauty and intricate floral structures and come in a wide range of colours, shapes, and sizes. Popular genera that can be found in the Orchid family include Dendrobium, Epidendrum, Cattleya and Oncidium.
