Cacti

Cacti are a diverse group of succulent plants belonging to the family Cactaceae, with over 1,800 recognised species across about 130 genera. They are known for their thick, water-storing stems, distinctive spines, and often spectacular flowers in a wide range of colours. Most cacti are native to the Americas, where they occur from Canada to South America in habitats ranging from arid deserts to tropical forests. Today, cacti are widely cultivated around the world and admired for their unusual forms, resilience, and striking blooms.
