Euphorbia resinifera

Euphorbia resinifera, also known as the Resin Spurge, is a striking succulent shrub with a distinctive form. Its unique cushion-shaped form and colourful spines make it an impressive choice for South African gardens.

Key Features:

• Growth Form: A dense shrub with thick, upright, four-angled stems. These stems are green to bluish-green and form a cushion-shaped clump.
• Spines: The stems feature rows of paired, short, and sharp spines extending along the angles.
• Flowers: Small, bright yellow flowers appear from late winter to early spring, adding a pop of colour to the plant.
• Native habitat: Euphorbia resinifera is native to Morocco where it occurs on the slopes of the Atlas Mountains.

Care Requirements:

• Light: Prefers full sun to partial shade. Sunlight enhances the stem colour and supports healthy growth.
• Water: Water sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings. It is drought-tolerant.
